Mistaken words

Time to confess: tell us about a time when you used a word whose meaning you didn’t actually know (or were very wrong about, in retrospect).

Words he had thrown around, casually..
Picked up by her as gems, innocently..
Stored them as his gifts, lovingly..
Now danced in her mind, hauntingly..
Calling her a fool, mockingly..
As she resolved to herself, seemingly..
Never to trust another so readily..
Never to believe those words, instantly..
Treading the journey ahead, cautiously..
Rather than going around recklessly..
Never had it been thought so clearly..
As she resolved to live again, meaningfully..

P.S.: I’m not really sure if my interpretation of this prompt is correct, but posting it anyways.
